The Netherlands largest online women's platform: fem.com - What Women Want!
fem.com - The online channel which no woman or advertiser can ignore

Amsterdam, 15 July 2010  - Following the success of fem.com in Germany, and similar sites as glam.com, a new platform breaths air in the Netherlands - fem.com - an online engagement platform for women .

At fem.com today’s modern woman aged between 20-49 can find all that her heart desires. Covering subjects such as entertainment, beauty, fashion, travel, cuisine and more whilst ensuring the highest quality content updated daily. But fem.com is much more than a just women’s site. Fem.com utilizes an existing network of partner sites that have a specific focus on topics that interest women. Together the fem.com network redefines the meaning of online reach. fem.com does not only engage the best and most diverse content but from start becomes the largest women's platform in the Netherlands with the highest coverage within this target group.

For advertisers fem.com offers a new perspective in relevant female marketing. Via the fem.com partner sites advertisers receive direct insight into the needs of women and access to a vast audience. Partly thanks to the cooperation of partner sites and their faithful followers, the fem.com network counts a total starting range of approximately 2 million visitors. 90% percent of these visitors and that of the selected partner sites is woman, where as the percentage of existing women’s platforms in the Netherlands covers just 60% of the target group. iTV Media is the selected partner for sales and acquisitions.

Content
Fem.com works with more than 60 partner sites; from niche bloggers to online magazines with a passion for a particular subject. One by one these partners have specific knowledge and expertise in a particular women’s topic . Together, the partners deliver a portion of the content of their sites to fem which is rewritten and published via the fem.com network. Creating a win-win situation for all partners as they share in the revenues earned. Unlike traditional affiliate structures all content is unique and never duplicated. The partner site owners retain full ownership of their content and site whereby nothing extra is asked of them. They just keep doing 'their thing' but profit from collaboration in fem.com.

"Without these bloggers and sites and their loyal fans fem.com could not exist. Thanks to them woman truly get what they are looking for: authentic, independent, well-written content," Moriam Haarsma, Managing Director of Fem. Netherlands

Partners in the fem.com network include leeftijdlozeschoonheid.nl theperfectwedding.nl, vrouwenloonwijzer.nl, Shoelounge, weloveshopping.nl, fashionlicious.nl, dewerkendemoeder.nl, styleguide.nl, kookjij.nl, marjaweetraad.nl and many others. But fem.com also has its own editorial team who too deliver fresh content daily.

Fem.com is not a social media site or online community!
On fem.com you won’t find profiles or forums.

"The Netherlands has a sufficient amount of communities for women. The larger communities book relatively less successful than smaller initiatives, such as those of our partners. We want to expand the fem.com network with our existing partners and their communities, and not create competition for them, "says Haarsma

The fem.com concept was successfully launched in Germany two years ago. The US has a similar concept that has already proven its success under the name glam.com. Fem.com is collaboration between Fem Media GmBH and ProSieben, a European media group based in Germany, with SBS Broadcasting and the German TV group ProSiebenSat.1 as subsidiaries.
